This blog was created to act as a record of the cards and other projects that I have made. It is for both my own reference and to help inspire anyone who wants to take a look.

Burgundy, Pink and Green Pink Gem Heart Flower

So, in the spirit of #TBT, I have decided to post one card each week that is a few years old and still waiting to be blogged.

This particular card was made back in 2011 I believe, using a stamp set that I won from Pink Gem Designs, called Funky Flowers.

The Heart Flower image, from the Pink Gem Funky Flowers stamp set, was stamped using Adirondack Currant dye ink and die cut using a Petite Oval die from Nestabilities, and matted onto a burgundy Petite Scalloped Oval.

A length of burgundy organza ribbon was wrapped around a panel of the Courtier paper from the Basic Grey Eva paper pad and adhered to the card blank.

Two borders were punched from the burgundy cardstock using the EK Success Scalloped Scallop border punch and adhered over the edges of the patterned paper.


The 'It's Your Day' sentiment, from the Papermania Clare Curd Sentiments stamp set, was stamped using the Currant dye ink and matted onto the burgundy cardstock.

Burgundy self-adhesive pearls, from the Hobby House Ruby Mix, were added to the Heart Flower image, and gold border peel-offs, from Lakeland/Starform were coloured with a red Copic marker and added along the edge of the border strips.

Yes, I know, peel-offs!!!! I wonder if they will make more appearances in these throwback posts???

Pink and Kraft Flower Horace

Well, I finally managed to struggle my way into my craft room - avoiding the obstacle course on the floor (just about) and managed to get a few cards made. Top of my immediate-need list was a card for a young girl, so I decided to use the lovely cute Horace stamp that I got free from the April 2010 Craft Stamper magazine.


The Horace image, from Pink Gem/Craft Stamper, was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copic sketch markers:
  • Dog: E31, E33, E35
The image was then die cut using a classic circle Nestabilities die and the edge coloured using RV19 Copic sketch marker and matted onto a big scalloped circle die cut from the pink stripe paper from the Daisy and Dandelion Picnic Patch paper pad. The edges were coloured using ColorBox Orchid Pastel Fluid Chalk ink and then matted onto a dark pink panel die cut using a Labels 3 Nestabilities die.


A strip of the pink daisy paper, from the same paper pad, was punched using the XCut Scallop border punch and the edges coloured using the Orchid Pastel ink and matted onto a punched panel of the dark pink card.

A white Prima paper flower was coloured using a Copic marker (E31) and added to the Labels shape. Pink flower gems from Papermania were added to the image and the centre of the paper flower.

The sentiment, from the Papermania Clare Curd Sentiments stamp set, was stamped at the bottom of the card blank using Adirondack Raspberry dye ink.

CAS Red Pepper Heart Funky Flower

Here is another of the CAS cards I made using the lovely Heart Flower image from the Pink Gem Funky Flowers stamp set.


The Heart Funky Flower image was stamped using Red Pepper Adirondack dye ink and die cut using a Petite Oval Nestabilities die. This was then matted onto a red Petite Scalloped Oval mat.

A panel of the Coral paper from the 7 Gypsies Reef Journal Variety Pack was adhered across the tent fold card blank.

The image panel was matted over the top and the sentiment, also from the Funky Flowers stamp set, was stamped at the bottom the card blank.


Clear faux gems were added to the flower image.

I also made this card in a couple of other colourways.


The first is a yellow version, using the Adirondack Butterscotch dye ink and a floral paper from the Papermania Sunshine Capsule Collection paper pad.


A different sentiment, from the Funky Flowers stamp set, was added at the bottom of the card blank using the Butterscotch ink and yellow faux gems were added to the image.

I also made an orange version using the Adirondack Sunset Orange dye ink, the same Sunshine Capsule paper pad, with orange faux gems from the Papermania Sunset Capsule Collection added to the image.

CAS Stream Funky Heart Flower

Here is the first of the CAS cards I made using the lovely Heart Flower image from the Pink Gem Funky Flowers stamp set.


The Heart Funky Flower image was stamped using Stream Adirondack dye ink and die cut using a Petite Oval Nestabilities die. This was then matted onto a teal Petite Scalloped Oval mat.

A panel of the teal mini polka dot paper from the Making Memories Funky Vintage Ruby Collection paper pad was punched along the edge using the XCut Sparkler border punch and adhered across the tent fold card blank.


The image panel was matted over the top and the sentiment, also from the Funky Flowers stamp set, was stamped using the Stream ink at the bottom the card blank.

Blue faux gems were added to the flower image.

Pink and Burgundy Heart Flower and Sparkler Mother's Day

Here are the Mother's Day cards that I made this year for my mum and my Mother-in-Law using the lovely stamps that I won from the lovely Janet when she hosted a Pink Gem blog candy. I also wanted to use my new inkpads (you'll see more of them soon I'm sure!) from Adirondack.

This is the card that I made for my mum:


The Heart Flower image, from the Pink Gem Funky Flowers stamp set, was stamped using Adirondack Raisin dye ink and die cut using a Petite Oval Nestabilities die. This was then pierced around the edge using the Stampin' Up piercing template (Mat Pack) and matted onto a Petite Scalloped Oval die cut from burgundy shimmer card.

A panel of the Extravagance paper from the Basic Grey Eva paper pad was punched along the edges using the  XCut Sparkler border punch and matted onto a panel of the burgundy card.

A length of burgundy organza ribbon was wrapped around the panel and matted onto the front of the card blank.

The sentiment, from a free stamp from Craft Stamper magazine designed by Personal Impressions, was also stamped using the Raisin ink and matted onto the burgundy card. Both the image and sentiment panels were then positioned centrally over the ribbon.

Burgundy self-adhesive pearls, from the Hobby House Ruby Mix, were then added to the Heart Flower image.

And here is the variation on this that I made for my Mother-in-Law:


This one was made in exactly the same way, except the edges of the Extravagance paper was punched with the EKSuccess Scalloped Scallop border punch.

I'm really quite pleased with these!

Pink, Blue and Green Posh Milly

Here is another of the cards I made last year and didn't get around to blogging so thought I'd blog it now!


The Posh Milly image from Pink Gem, kindly donated by Judith B in the September 2008 docrafts image  swap, was watercoloured using the Tim Holtz Distress Inks and highlighted using Craft Planet Iridescent Sparkle glitter glue. The edges of the image panel were coloured using the Worn Lipstick and Milled Lavender distress inks. This was then matted onto green and blue paper.

A panel of the multi-floral paper from the K&Co Sparkly Sweet paper pad was also matted onto the green and blue paper and a length of light blue organza ribbon was wrapped around it and the image matted over the top.

A pink card candy from Craftwork Cards was added over the ribbon and covered with the Iridescent Sparkle glitter glue.

The 'It's Your Birthday' circle sentiment from the Hero Arts Birthday Messages stamp set was stamped onto white linen card and green paper. The inner section of the sentiment was cut out from the white linen card and edged with the Worn Lipstick and Milled Lavender inks. The whole sentiment panel was cut from the green paper and all matted onto a circle cut from the blue paper. The sentiment panel was then adhered over the bottom corner of the image panel.

Pink, Green and Blue Floral Milly with Kitten

This card was made with a Pink Gem image kindly donated by Judith B in a docrafts image swap back in September 2008.

I watercoloured the Milly with Kitten image using the following Tim Holtz Distress Inks:
  • Worn Lipstick
  • Milled Lavender
  • Broken China
  • Peeled Paint
  • Antique Linen
  • Frayed Burlap
  • Mustard Seed
  • Tattered Rose
The image was then highlighted with Craft Planet Iridescent Sparkle glitter glue.

I then distressed the edges of the image panel with the Worn Lipstick and Milled Lavender distress inks. The image panel was then matted onto green and blue paper.
