WELCOME

This blog was created to act as a record of the cards and other projects that I have made. It is for both my own reference and to help inspire anyone who wants to take a look.

I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment so that I know what you think of my projects and that you've been to visit!

Anyone can comment, even those who don't have a blog. (Just look for the word 'Comments' under the three little pictures at the end of each post). Readers without a blog can add an anonymous comment, but please leave your name (and docrafts username if applicable) so I know who you are!

Slideshows of all the cards I've uploaded to my blog can be found at the bottom of the page.

Red, Orange and Yellow Silhouette Wild Carrot

This card was inspired by an article in the October issue of Craft Stamper Magazine last year. I've been meaning to have a go at it for a while and finally got around to it!!  Ireally like the effect and I think I'll be making more of these in different colour combos. Might even try some with some moons!!

I've just discovered the article was by  the very talented Joanne Wardle - have a look at her amazing blog here.

An area of the card blank was masked off and the Fired Brick, Wild Honey and Scattered Straw Distress Inks from Tim Holtz were added using Cut 'n' Dry foam.

The masks were removed and the Wild Carrot and silhouette butterfly images both from the Inkadinkado Meadow stamp set, were stamped over the panel using Versafine Onyx Black archival pigment ink.

The sentiment, made using the Anniversary stamp and Happy from the Happy Birthday stamp from the Papermania Mix & Match Scrolls and Sentiments stamp set, were stamped in the corner also using the Onyx Black ink.

Here are the challenges that I am entering this card into:

It was my friends article I think, Joanne Wardle. We were demoing(please see my blog as she's on there) together this last weekend and she created a few of these as samples.

This is a beautiful card. Ots the simplicity that works with these cards and you have captured that well.
