I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment so that I know what you think of my projects and that you've been to visit!

Anyone can comment, even those who don't have a blog. (Just look for the word 'Comments' under the three little pictures at the end of each post). Readers without a blog can add an anonymous comment, but please leave your name (and docrafts username if applicable) so I know who you are!

Slideshows of all the cards I've uploaded to my blog can be found at the bottom of the page.

Lilac and Apple Green Easter Basket Kid

Here are my Easter cards for this year. I decided to go cute this year and used one of my recent Clipart Fairy purchases.

The image, Easter Basket Kid from The Clipart Fairy, was printed onto Xerox Colotech Gold card (my choice for Copic colouring) and coloured using Copic markers:
  • Basket: YG11, E31, E35, E39, E57
  • Eggs: YG11, BV00, BV04, BV31
  • T-Shirt: BV00, BV04, V91
  • Bows: BV00, BV04, BV31
  • Skin: E00, E21, E51, R20
Highlights were then added using the Papermania Snow White gel pen.

The corners of the image panel were then rounded using the large XCut corner rounder punch, and matted onto lilac card.

A panel of light green card was embossed using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder and was joined to a panel of the lilac mini polka dot paper from the DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Boy Mat Stack with a length of white woven ribbon and light green organza ribbon.

This was then matted onto a panel of the lilac card.

The sentiment was computer-generated and matted onto lilac card.

I also made a version using Nestabilities classic oval and classic scalloped oval dies but the card looked a bit unbalanced to me.

Pink, Blue and Cream Dragonfly Kooky Teapot

Here's another card made using one of my recent wins! This one is from Happileigh Scrappin' and I think it's really stylish and elegant.

The Kooky Teapot #1 digi image was coloured using Copic Sketch markers:
  • Teapot: R20, E51, B00
  • Rosebuds: R20, RV21, YG41
  • Dragonfly: B00, R20, RV21, E51
The image was then die cut using a square Nestabilities die and matted onto a larger die cut square of cream card.

This in turn was then matted onto a panel of the blue rose and ribbons paper from the Papermania Blueberry Hill paper pad. A panel of light blue paper was then punched using the Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace corner and border punches.

All the layers were then matted onto the card blank and a bow tied using Celebrate cream organza ribbon and added in the top left corner of the image panel.

Three white Papermania adhesive pearls were coloured using Copic markers:
  • Pearls: E21, E51
These were then added in the bottom right corner of the image panel.

The sentiment, from the Papermania Scrolls and Sentiments stamp set, was stamped next to the image using Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue pigment ink.

The dragonfly was then highlighted with Craft Planet Iridescent Sparkle glitter glue and the pearl detail of the teapot highlighted with Anita's 3D Gloss.

I Am A Winner Over On The Pile It On Blog Challenge

I am a winner over on the Pile It On blog challenge - in fact I am one of three winners of the Pile It On #11 Challenge, which was to use green and orange.

Photobucket

The card that I won with was my St. Patrick's Day card, an obvious entry for that colour combo.

My prize is a digital sheets of stamps from the very talented artist Rick St. Denis.

Aqua The Stork Delivers

Some friends of ours (finally) had their little baby last Wednesday - we will have no excuse to forget that birthday as the poor mite shares a birthday with my hubby now!

The little baby, a boy, is called Max and I just had to use this super-cute image from The Clipart Fairy - especially after what I saw Kerry had done with it.

The digi image, The Stork Delivers, was coloured using Copic sketch markers:
  • Skin: E00, E21, E51
  • Hair: E11, E13
  • Blanket: BG11, BG32, B00
  • Stork - Feathers: E40, E41
  • Stork: Bill/Legs: R20, E40
The corners of the panel were rounded using the large XCut corner rounder punch and then matted onto a panel of aqua card from the DCWV Brights Mat Stack, die cut using a Labels 1 Nestabilities die.

A length of cream broderie anglaise and aqua Dovecraft grosgrain ribbon were wrapped around the join of two patterned papers from the DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Boy mat stack and then matted onto the same aqua card.

A computer-generated sentiment was die cut using a classic circle die from Nestabilities and matted onto a circle of the blossom paper and a scalloped circle of the aqua card.

Three cream paper flowers from the Prima Botanicals Mix were adhered over the bottom left corner of the image and aqua dewdrops (Patti's Pretties) were added in their centres. The sentiment was added over the bottom right corner of the image.

I also decorated the inside of the card, but kept it simple, just using strips of the aqua card and the blossom paper.

Brown, Cream and Green Opossum Pals Anniversary

Here is an anniversary card I made for some good friends at the end of last year - yet another card I found saved in my drafts on Blogger!

The Opossum Pals image, from Stampavie/Tina Wenke, was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black Archival Pigment ink and coloured using Copic Sketch markers:
  • Opossum 1: E43, E31, R20
  • Opossum 2: N1, N3, R20
  • Tree: E35, E39, E57
  • Leaves: YG07, YG67
  • Outline: B00
The corners of the image panel were rounded using the large XCut corner rounder punch and matted onto dark cream and brown card.

A strip of the cream multi-stripe damask paper from the HOTP Floral Ultimate Cardmaker's Creative pack was matted onto strips of the cream and brown card and then across a panel of the cream multi-dot paper from the same paper pad.

A beige paper flower from Prima was colour-tinted with Copic markers and added in the corner of the image panel with a pale green dew drop from Patti's Pretties.
